History

Most of the pitches now used by the teams in the League are owned by the Newry and Mourne Council. The soccer fields at Jennings Park, Frank Curran Park, Artie Green Park Drumalane, the Barley Field Barcroft, Norman Brown Park Damolly, Derrybeg Park, Willie Davis Park and Olympic Park Derryleckagh, Nan Sands Park Saval, Orior Park Bessbrook, Killeavey, Murdock Park Forkhill, Crossmaglen, Warrenpoint, Kilkeel and Kilbroney Park Rostrevor are all available to the League on a yearly rental basis.

Despite the loss of all the original Carnbane fields, contact with the Carnbane area is still very much to the fore as the Council purchased the former rugby grounds in 2009 from the Southern Education and Library Board which it will lease to the League for the playing of its youth mini soccer competitions.
