CARNBANE LEAGUE - VERY SAD NEWS

CARNBANE LEAGUE SECRETARY AND LOCAL FOOTBALL LEGEND JIMMY DAVIS PASSES AWAY MONDAY 31 OCTOBER 2022

It is with great sadness that the League has to report the sudden untimely death earlier today Monday 31 October of the League secretary Jimmy Davis. We all extend our deepest sympathy first and foremost to Jimmy's family.

The funeral of our late secretary and dear friend Jimmy Davis will take place at 2.00 pm tomorrow Thursday 3 November 2022 at St. Mary's Church, John Mitchel Place, Hill Street.

All clubs are asked to be represented at the funeral as a mark of respect for Jimmy and as an acknowledgement of all that he has done for the local football community in the past fifty four years. Let's have a great turnout and give him the send off he so richly deserves.

This Saturday's fixtures will go ahead as scheduled. We all know that Jimmy would not have wanted it any other way. We would ask all clubs to have a minute's silence before their game to honour Jimmy.
